    The density of carbon fiber is less than 1/4 of that of steel, generally, in the range of 1.5-2.0 g/cm³ and its tensile strength is 7-9 times that of steel, which can reach 1-7 GPa. Generally, the modulus of carbon fiber is more than three times that of traditional glass fiber, and the modulus of high-modulus carbon fiber can be as high as 700GPa. Moreover, carbon fiber has both the flexibility and processability of textile fiber.


    What is carbon?


    Carbon fiber is a fiber material used in combination with epoxy resin to make lightweight composites that are extremely strong and rigid. It is not only the specific strength and stiffness that make carbon fiber special, but also that the mechanical properties can be different in different directions due to the orientation of the laminated fibers.
